The time it takes to lose weight is also much longer than it takes to quit smoking. They say a smoker will stop having cravings 3 days after they quit smoking. For extremely obese people, it could be years until they reach a healthy weight.
To what degree though? People get “addicted” and have “withdrawal” from coffee. Should we make coffee illegal based on that fact alone? Also, weed is nowhere near as addicting as cigarettes and alcohol, nor is it as bad for you and yet those are legal.
Marijuana isn’t addictive or a gateway drug. I don’t smoke a joint and they want to do some heroin. The reason that people think it is a gateway drug is because currently you have to buy it from drug dealers. Drug dealers often sell more than just weed. If marijuana was legalized than people would be purchasing it from safe dispensaries that wouldn’t also sell the harder drugs.
