Your argument makes it sound like the US is the worst country in the world when it comes to dealing with juvenile criminals and that is just not true. Would you rather be sent to jail or executed like they would do in some Middle Eastern countries? How about getting a hand cut off for steeling some food? The US has harsh but fair punishments for crimes.

October 18, 2016 14:06:33

Of course different networks can be biased but that is not why people have lost faith with major media sources. Think back to 2015 when Brian Williams made up stories of his firsthand accounts in the Middle East. He wasn't reporting the news, he was making stories up to bring in more viewers. The news is not for fictional stories.

If your husband wants it that bad you should let him take the kid to church. Enjoy your Sunday mornings with some alone time.

"Debate" is a loose term for what they do.

September 22, 2016 19:20:13

There were tons of peaceful protesters out there that were sending the message. Destroying the city doesn't solve anything.

September 19, 2016 15:27:41

Cable is dying as a whole. Football games are not unique. Streaming is taking over. http://bgr.com/2015/12/11/cable-tv-decline-cord-cutting/

I wouldn't put anything past Hilary...

August 29, 2016 16:11:46

I never said it couldn't be a man getting raped by a women. People don't get arrested for having drunk sex. They get arrested for having sex with someone who is "passed out" or unwilling. If both parties were to this level, sex would not occur. One of the people has to actually do the do and that person (male or female) is responsible.

August 26, 2016 19:33:50

The issue is not whether the person gave consent or not. The issue is if the person should rely on that consent. If a person is so drunk they don't understand what is happening, consent doesn't mean anything to them. They do not know what they are consenting to.

Unless you think your son will play in college or the NFL, you don't have much to worry about. Little kids don't hit each other hard enough to cause any real issues. Of course there are freak accidents, but they happen in every sport. I say let him play. It's good for kids to play sports.

August 19, 2016 14:43:55

It is wrong for a government to place restrictions on what the citizens can wear. People should have the freedom to wear whatever they want. This type of thing would never happen in the US.

August 15, 2016 21:07:00

That's because the rules were different for most of that time. This Olympics the rules were changed too late to really allow trans people the time to prepare.

August 9, 2016 19:27:56

Also, people born on NYD will not have a birth date. How will they fill out forms?

August 4, 2016 15:20:40

This is though. I am for parents having free rein in how they raise, educate, and discipline their own children. I even believe parents should be able to choose whether or not to vaccinate their children. So, while I don't agree that they made a good decision, I believe in their right to make that decision.

July 25, 2016 10:46:43

I encourage you to do more research on both candidates and weigh the pros and cons of each. I think you will end up disliking one more than the other. You'll never find a 'perfect' candidate. We just have to vote for the person who we think won't be as bad.

Are we really still talking about the damn emails? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwLYnXftb_s

Almost every original weapon was designed based around going to war. Stoner's family is just trying to not put the blame for these mass shootings on him - not that it belongs on him anyways. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

July 6, 2016 12:14:18

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

June 3, 2016 17:03:56

I think there is a general lack of education on healthy eating in the US. Also, it is cheaper to buy low quality food. That is why you see higher obesity levels in the lower class.

June 3, 2016 16:08:07

@TaylorMade12 I assume you are a skinny to average weight person so the idea of eating less has always been easy to you. Have you ever tried quitting something (drugs, cigarettes, etc) you were addicted to? It takes an incredible mental effort that a lot of people can't handle. Matthew is getting a surgery to make his stomach smaller so he can break the mental barrier of always being hungry. He should be encouraged, not critiqued about how he's going about losing the weight.

May 31, 2016 16:52:27

Casey says in that interview that he was considering suicide before he fought back. Now he looks happier and healthier. Bullies deserve everything they get.

May 9, 2016 15:44:02

He isn't taking a stand in order to be a noble guy. It is a politically calculated move for his future candidacy.

May 6, 2016 17:03:30

All of that stemmed from his alcohol abuse problem. He needs to spend a good amount of time at a rehabilitation center. Once he fixes that problem, the rest will dissolve as well.

February 8, 2016 19:38:40

The military has requirements and tests to ensure that a soldier is combat ready. If a women can pass those tests just like men do, why should they not be allowed in combat?

February 8, 2016 19:37:17

There is so much we need to explore on Mars that rovers are not capable of. For instance, looking for signs that Mars had life. Rovers simply cannot dig that deep. A small colony of scientists and researchers could reveal possibly the biggest question that is still unanswered – is there life outside of Earth?

February 5, 2016 15:26:26

Curry for the regular season, LeBron for the post season.

January 21, 2016 17:48:34

People in LA are pretty wealthy. The median household income in LA is about $50k compared to about $34k in St. Louis.

January 21, 2016 17:18:58

This is really well thought out and elaborate, but I still just don't see it. I think you are reaching and really want to believe the man is innocent when he isn't. There's a reason that he wasn't granted a retrial and the Supreme Court wouldn't hear the case.

January 21, 2016 17:14:21

I don't know... they seem pretty excited about the return of the Rams. In the first 48 hours that season tickets went on sale, they collected 45,000 deposits.

January 20, 2016 16:47:09

Yeah, lets remove all the pads and then replace tackling with two hand touch. Even better, lets tie some flags around the players waist and if a defender pulls a flag that means the runner is down. No! Football is a contact sport and helmets protect the players better than nothing.

January 11, 2016 15:03:09

If private donations fund the cost, then why not? If our taxes pay for it, no way.

January 8, 2016 16:23:35

But they do get paid for it. They get free tuition, books, room and board. At most schools that adds up to much more than the average American’s salary.

January 8, 2016 16:13:03

College is so expensive and these athletes get to go for free. That is better than being paid. I will be paying off my student loans for the rest of my life and you believe that because someone can play basketball they should be able to, not only get free tuition, but also be payed? Most of them get by taking a ridiculously easy class schedule where they don’t even have to do any work and they walk away with a degree from a good college. There was a teacher at UNC that found one of her student athletes couldn’t even read.

January 8, 2016 14:40:31

They are looking for fruits not guns.

January 7, 2016 21:34:24

I have heard that smugglers will load up cars full of guns and then ship them to crime rings in Puerto Rico.

January 7, 2016 21:06:34

California’s gun laws are pointless when there are no customs check as you enter the state. The Planned Parenthood shooter was originally from North Carolina. So, it doesn’t matter that California has very strict gun laws. Unless every state cracks down, people will be able to get guns from just a few hours’ drive.

January 7, 2016 20:44:26

The over-prescribing of stimulants for children has concerned me for about a decade. The two things that worried me the most were medications that were used randomly and the lack of thorough medical follow-up. Since then, the diagnosis of ADHD and the prescription of ADHD medications have only increased. While many children can benefit from appropriate use of medication, the rate of over-diagnosis and over-prescription seems to be growing.

January 5, 2016 13:47:09

As humans we find it hard to worry about issues that won’t affect us in the near future. Climate change is so slow and unnoticeable to us that we sweep the issue under the rug. We need to understand that even these tiny temperature changes can have much larger effects on other lifeforms, especially marine lifeforms. Climate change will devastate many vital ecosystems if nothing is done to protect them.

Abortions can lead to medical problems for the mother including permanent infertility. So women are taking a big risk if they get an abortion.

November 24, 2015 20:25:58

Currently the US has a representative democracy, and for a good reason too. It prevents tyranny of the majority. There are some extremely popular policies that should never be put into effect. There are additionally many very unpopular policies would be disastrous to put into effect.

November 24, 2015 20:18:42

Donating your organs doesn’t exclude you from having an open-casket funeral. They will sow you up and put clothes on you so people would never know.

November 24, 2015 19:12:43

I don’t think that is the message. Since busting FIFA with all this corruption, FIFA will be on close watch. This kind of stuff won’t happen again for a long time.

November 24, 2015 17:41:20

This reminds me of the movie Gattaca. Society identifies people by their genetic makeup. So in order to work at better jobs they test your blood and see if your genetics qualify for the job. The main character was a naturally born baby so he was part of this underclass of humans that did menial jobs. Not going to give away any more but it’s a great watch.

November 20, 2015 17:30:51

So kids get a bit of drinking experience before they go off to college or start living on their own. Seems like a good thing to me. Over 1800 college kids die every year from alcohol related incidents. I think a little supervised drinking on the weekends in high school is a good warmup and teaches kids what their tolerance levels are.

November 19, 2015 17:38:45

You can’t blame the Packers and Patriots for using the rules to their advantage. The rules changed back in 2003 whn the Colts GM, Bill Polian, was head of the rules committee and changed the rules to benefit Peyton Manning. As a result, the NFL is filled with flags today.

November 19, 2015 13:22:05

They don’t release all of the trailers at the same time. They will start with a teaser trailer and then release longer ones occasionally until the movie is released. People get tired of seeing the same trailer over and over. Think about it like commercials. If I see one more Draft Kings commercial, I might kill myself.
