Obviously there are going to be some instances. My argument is that in the grand scheme of things, mainstream media is trustworthy. I still trust a friend even if they have told me one lie.

During the second debate they had almost exactly the same amount of talk time. What is interesting is the amount of times Trump had to speak over the moderator and interrupt Clinton for that to happen. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/2016-presidential-debate-speaking-times-229502

Not sure about Mexico, but they want to get an NFL team in London by 2021. Less viewers will only make it come faster IMO.

I'm not excited to have to charge my headphones.

Just because more people do over doesn't mean it's the better way. People just understand the benefits of under.

It's not like Muslims are marching in and ordering French citizens to wear burkinis. It's their choice if they want to wear them.

5% of the vote is extremely difficult to get. If a presidential candidate was pulling 5%, everyone in the country would know who that person is. Neither Johnson or Stein are polling at 5% so all they are doing is pulling votes from the candidate they are most politically aligned with. In 2000 Ralph Nader pulled almost 3% of the vote that would have potentially gone to Al Gore.

Transgender is not a psychological disorder! Gender is not black or white. Facebook even has 58 different genders now.

They may not be the most moral of people but they aren't Hitler.

Instead of looking at it as "the lesser of two evils," look at it as "the person I agree with most of the viable options." Visit their websites and read through their stances. Make a list of all the things that you agree for both candidates. Then make your decision.

Not to mention a handgun which can be easily concealed and carry large amounts of ammo can do just as much damage as an AR.

Most rapists get 10 years. Similar crimes should have similar sentences. Doesn't matter if he doesn't have a record. "If I had been sexually assaulted by an un-athletic guy from a community college, what would his sentence be? If a first time offender from an underprivileged background was accused of three felonies and displayed no accountability for his actions other than drinking, what would his sentence be?" -the victim

"Obesity has always existed in human populations, but until very recently was comparatively rare. The availability of abundant, energy-rich processed foods in the last few decades has, however, resulted in a sharp rise in the prevalence of obesity in westernized countries." http://hmg.oxfordjournals.org/content/15/suppl_2/R124.full

Some people aren't meant to be the alpha male. They just aren't physically able to fight back. I'd guess a good amount of the people who get bullied fit in this category and that's why they are chosen by bullies. Greg happened to be a foot taller than his bullies so he is a unique case.

The idea that George W. Bush would create jobs for Unions is laughable.

It's manufactured everywhere. They have tons of plants in China and Mexico.

60% of Republican voters haven't voted for Trump. The title of this debate says it all. It is truly a divided GOP.

Entertainers is the perfect description. I believe the main reason that Obama was elected was because of two things - the silky-smoothness of his speeches and dumbing everything down. It’s the same reason that Trump is doing so well. They appeal to the masses who are fed up with how things are going in Washington with simple catchy slogans like “Change we can believe in” and “Make America great again.” It’s unfortunate that the American people would rather hear blind promises than realistic, detailed solutions to the problems our nation faces today. I don’t blame the politicians for doing this. It is the people who need to demand more from our candidates than just smooth talking and name calling.

Public works are funded by tax dollars raised by either a local municipality or state government. Taxes on the masses paying for services which all the masses can use is definitely socialist.

Women have as much of a right to be in the military as men do. If a women wants to fight for our country, than who are we to tell her that she can’t? The more soldiers we have the better. Women are not taking places of males, just adding to the numbers. To exclude women from the military would be unfair and unjust.

Paying people a lot of money to do dangerous jobs is the American way. We aren't going to change the job, just keep paying them a lot of money so they can't refuse.

You think Mad Max had a bad plot, but Star Wars had a good one? Spoiler Alert: The Force Awakens completely copied A New Hope. It wasn't original in the slightest. The only threat in the Star Wars galaxy seems to be a planet shaped weapon that blows up planets. The academy looks for well written and acted films that aren't the seventh in the series.

Realistically that didn’t up the price that much. They aren’t charging double the promised price to make up $5 million when they are the future of virtual reality.

College programs in prison used to be funded by taxpayer money until Bill Clinton signed a bill to stop it. He said, “People who commit crimes should be caught, convicted, and punished. This bill puts government on the side of those who abide by the law, not those who break it.” Makes sense to me. http://www.npr.org/2014/03/11/288689537/n-y-governor-says-college-for-inmates-will-pay-off-for-taxpayers

Not every student athlete gets a full ride. There are six sports where you can get a full ride: football, men and women’s basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, and tennis. Outside those sports, athlete’s scholarships are dinky. http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/the-college-solution/2010/06/22/7-things-you-need-to-know-about-sports-scholarships

January 8, 2016 16:22:38

The difference between you and an athlete is that you didn’t make the University any money and the athlete did. They give up a lot of their time and risk injury for the profit of the school so they should be rewarded for it.

I was put on these meds back in the '90s for a year. I still can't recall anything from that year. It's just a fog of disjointed images and events. Now? I went to college and am a functioning, productive member of society. Losing a year of my childhood wasn't necessary.

An issue with many obese people is their eating addiction stems from depression. Shaming them would not address the issue, but make them feel even worse about themselves. The way to treat obesity and smoking is not sneering at them, but rather educate people to become healthier.

Take your clothes off. No? Why? Do you have something to hide? No? Then you should have no problem taking off your clothes unless you’re hiding something? People feel uncomfortable with people seeing things that are private and none of the governments business.

They still never faced each other. To say one would beat another is just a work of fan-fiction and a waste of time.

November 23, 2015 22:18:57

I hate when people try to compare modern athletes to athletes in the past. First of all, they never competed against each other so there is no definitive way of knowing who is or was better. Secondly, training methods and technology are far more advanced now than they were in the past, so athletes today have advantages that past athletes didn’t.

It's hard to say if they are ruining movies or not. In the end it comes down to personal preference. People love the hype that goes along with epic or funny trailers. For them it is an essential part of the movie-going experience. Others, like yourself, think that trailers give away too much. My solution is don't watch them.
