Budweiser is now "America"

Budweiser is replacing the word “Budweiser” on their cans and bottles with “America” for the summer. The VP of Budweiser, Ricardo Marques, explained the change by saying this summer will be “probably the most American summer of our generation,” and he may be right. Along with the traditional summer holidays – Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, American’s face a presidential election and the Olympics. My issue with this is that Budweiser is owned by the Belgian-Brazilian company InBev. Americans need to realize that this company is just trying to take advantage of our nationalism. We see “America” beer and can’t resist, but instead of supporting America, like we think we are, we are actually supporting a Belgian-Brazilian beer giant. So before you order an “America” to go with your cheeseburger this Fourth of July, order a Coors instead.
