Flawed Calendar System

Society, History

I believe our calendar system is flawed. Currently, a month can be 28, 29, 30, or 31 days long but we refer to a month as 4 weeks. That’s only true for February and never true during a leap year. There are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and ? weeks in a month. Well, we have 52 weeks in a year and if you divide that by 4 you get 13. We should have 13 months of exactly 28 days in a year! There would be one extra day but it could just be considered “New Years Day.” It kind of blows my mind that this wasn’t the system they went with to start. I recommend watching this video where the guy explains it a little more in depth.
