Video Games and Mass Shootings
The trump administration has recently called a meeting with video game executives to talk about gun violence. Video games have been blamed since Columbine for encouraging violence and for desensitizing kids to guns and shooting. Countless studies prove this wrong.
This false belief has been spearheaded by pro-gun lobbyists such as the NRA as a false narrative to disuade proper gun reform legislation from being implemented.
According to that article, over half of American adults play video games yet we don't all become mass shooters. Blaming one thing instead of dealing with the multi-causality of shootings is a dangerous mindset.
