Freedom & American Exceptionalism: Part I
We have once again become subjects. Not subjects of a monarchy, but subjects of an elite political class in Washingon D.C. Call it the "Deep State," call it "The Establishment," call it anything else. We seem quite content to surrender our God-given responsibility to reach our potential--to contribute according to the ability bestowed upon us by "nature and nature's God." What happened to our inspiration? When did the American ideal become something we should be ashamed of? Who planted that seed of thought in our collective heads? When did we stop believing we were exceptional? Perhaps we would do well to remember our nation's history, cling to what is best about it, and pursue our yet unreached potential.
