Why choose Pittsburgh? General perception of the former steel/industrial hub is that the city is old and run down. Well recent news and trends in the city show otherwise. Allan Smith from Business Insider said, “Pittsburgh has reinvented itself in recent decades as a medical, educational, and, more recently, growing tech hub in the Rust Belt region”. As the steel mills seem to fade into the past, the room for expansion is incredible. Already tech companies are coming in and using the space for there advantage, and may I add that the prices for living are cheap. What more does Amazon want? If they are asking for roughly 50,000 employees to move to work at there new location, the prices must be low.
