I have to agree with that, although she didn't know.

August 24, 2018 13:29:43

I think it's fecking stupid of her to get fired. I get professionalism while representing your workplace, it's a huge thing in the fire department, but she wasn't really representing her workplace. She was celebrating getting an internship, just let her have it for fucks sake. She's clearly excited, maybe that's been or dream for a long time. And it was ruined because she was being herself and happy. Curse words are meaningless in my opinion and you shouldn't be punished for something like that.

August 23, 2018 16:58:59

I don't know, I think it depends on what he did. If he did something that was clearly a joke or what he thinks is funny, then I don't think he should be fired or suspended. If he did something that was creepy or disturbing, then I think he should definitely be fired. I agree with you though, I don't think he should have to be suspended while they look into the allegations.

August 21, 2018 16:18:35

Thank you!

August 21, 2018 15:40:08

Definitely a fan of the equality regarding sexual assault. As @b.o.r.k said it's terribly ironic that someone leading such a movement is such a hypocrite, and definitely shows how you can never really trust people.

August 21, 2018 14:46:28

It's true, they definitely don't do anything to help the situation

August 20, 2018 14:00:50

I think a lack of morals goes hand in hand with education. If people grow up in an environment where good morals are taught and encouraged, they are more likely to have them. I don't think what he said was especially bad, or should be taken as an offense.

August 20, 2018 13:55:06

Thank you for the comment! I like you're ideas and I have made a presentation as you said beforehand, as you said, just waiting for a response. Thank you for the tips as they will be things I implement in the discussion.

August 16, 2018 17:44:07

Boxing gloves protect the knuckles more then anything, but can also help protect the face and prevent broken noses.

August 16, 2018 17:15:41

i meant in the presidential elections

August 16, 2018 17:12:39

Here's an article pertaining to the subject:

August 16, 2018 16:05:28

I agree. Our school has a hockey team, which is pretty brutal. It's like football with blades on everyone's feet and everyone's holding carbon fiber sticks and sending a hard puck through the air at 100 miles per hour. If that kind of stuff is allowed, then boxing should be too.

August 16, 2018 15:35:11

I AGREE! The school schedule now is messed up. If kids were actually able to get the amount of sleep they need, they would be able to actually pay attention in class, and learn a lot more. This would be a really good and beneficial thing if it became well practiced by all schools.

August 16, 2018 15:14:46

I think rankings can be extremely helpful with deciding which college you want to apply to.

August 15, 2018 17:40:20

I'm disagreeing or agreeing here, just have a question. What's the difference between racial group and a culture? Is there a difference?

August 15, 2018 17:35:59

I honestly don't know. Would him saying the "n-word" be enough to get him impeached?

August 14, 2018 14:25:49

I wouldn't be surprised if Conor was just trying to get under Khabibs skin a bit.

August 14, 2018 12:33:26

I didn't say I disagree with that, they were following regulations, I'm just saying the rating system in general is weird because nowadays, especially with access to the internet, kids are much more knowledgeable then they were before.

August 13, 2018 16:28:31

This is something you'd expect one of the Paul brothers to do as some sort of prank. His actions are gross and I hope he looses the upcoming fight.

August 13, 2018 16:24:40

You probably shouldn't even if it isn't illegal, because 1: You don't want to start a fight over political parties. 2: Polls are supposed to be a private thing and showing who your'e voting for while doing it seems kind of like a dick move.

August 13, 2018 16:12:04

It would almost definitely be the other way around if Kanye supported the opposite candidate. I admire his ability to go his own direction though, be his own person. That's rare with most celebrities.

August 13, 2018 16:08:31

I'm leaning McGregor too, just cause I'm a fan. Even though he's had more losses, I think he's a more skilled fighter.

August 13, 2018 16:00:11

I'm not surprised they did this, companies always try to pick up on trends to better their sales. I am surprised though, that kombucha is still popular, I thought it kind of died out since 2016. I am glad though that Starbucks is going to try and provide some healthier options.

August 13, 2018 12:37:38

I think it's stupid of them to rate it as R, I know that eighth grade had some rated R times for almost everyone, haha.

August 10, 2018 18:15:58

Thing is he wasn't just wearing a gift shop shirt, he was wearing the Ranger PT uniform.

August 9, 2018 17:34:18

Fuck yeah this sounds badass.

August 9, 2018 17:14:25

then you had a depressing childhood

August 9, 2018 17:01:32

So, death is natural, so all forms of dying is a natural death.

August 8, 2018 16:59:15

I agree, I have never liked Alex Jones, but I think of him as someone we can laugh at. His ridiculous statements and theories are so bad they are funny. I wouldn't know a person who believes his conspiracies, but I am sure there people out there who believe everything he says. That being said, I also don't think he should've been removed from those platforms. I know that FB and others have the right to ban what they please, being private companies, but as you said, them "sanitizing" the world we look at should not happen. Safe spaces are bad things, as they prevent us from experiencing different things in life and learning from those experiences. If nothing new, dangerous, or outrageously different took place then we would never learn. If we go on Facebook or Twitter or whatever, and aren't shown differentiating views, clickbait, and offensive content we wouldn't learn or grow. We'd always be the same, never given any chance to change, as we are never shown that opinion, since it differs from our own.

August 7, 2018 19:42:30

Isn't someone killing themselves a natural death?

August 7, 2018 19:34:42

I agree, it is kind of sexist. I mean they are ruling one girls opinion over two boys's evidence, so it's unfair on a gender level.

August 7, 2018 18:47:10

If you were one of the students or teachers I'm sure you'd be against it.

August 7, 2018 18:45:44

I agree

August 7, 2018 18:24:40

That's terrible. I'm sorry that happened to your friend. To have that on his permanent record sucks. It's messed up that the school didn't listen to him and pulled in the girls favor, even though he had a witness. I don't think he should have been suspended.

August 7, 2018 17:55:57

Yeah that's pretty bad, but still it's only one terrible mistake.

August 6, 2018 19:15:25

I don't really know if I agree or disagree. Most of what Alex Jones says is just bullshit and clickbait, and he wasn't hurting anyone, so I think it was kind of weird he got removed. YouTube and Facebook are private companies, so they can do what they want, but it's still weird to me that he got banned of all people.

August 6, 2018 19:03:22

I agree 100%. Snow days are one of the only things that make students actually happy. If you take them away it would probably lead to more extreme acts of school-terrorism and many teen suicides.

August 6, 2018 19:01:47

I honestly don't care that much. I can see how it violates the Establishment Clause, as you said, but I don't mind if it gets changed or not. If you really don't want to say it then just don't say it. Usually though in all religions there is a God or Gods, so I wouldn't say it's "christian promoting", but that would make sense as christianity is the main American religion.

August 3, 2018 18:40:21

I think if you think it's the right time for you to die, then you should be able to choose.

August 3, 2018 18:03:30

I agree, Ladder trucks may be the largest fire apparatus, but they aren't that hard to control.

August 3, 2018 17:44:19

I hope he does to! I agree that there was probably some more factors, such as the environment, a mistake on the Ladder drivers behalf, or maybe reasons unstated. Thanks for your comment!

August 3, 2018 16:41:35

I know it's only small to medium-sized airports, but they still manage relatively large planes.

August 2, 2018 17:32:43

To add to that I found this article stating why the USAF wants to get rid of the A-10, and it makes sense.

August 2, 2018 17:17:37

I think it would be ridiculous to get rid of the TSA. I don't understand why everyone want's to get rid of the country's security systems nowadays. I don't see how this idea was created. "Let's get rid of the security system that makes sure building-sized, multi-million dollar flying bombs carrying hundreds of innocent people are safe, during a time of terrorism." Whoever came up with that is either insane, or a member of ISIS, trying to make it easier on his mates.

August 2, 2018 17:08:59

I love the Warthog, and thing it's too good of a plane to get rid of. I don't see how they could plan to get rid of it, unless they have a more modern plane they are going to replace it with. The Warthog is just too good at what it does to let it go, so it is surprising they are already planning to deservice it.

August 2, 2018 16:26:54

I like your thinking

August 2, 2018 16:25:30

I don't think they should be available, as it would be easy to obtain many weapons without going through registration processes. However, this brings up stuff regarding 3D printed weapons in general. People who know how to use them (the 3D printers) would be able to make guns without plans, or from scratch. Is there any way to keep watch on these things, or to prevent them from happening? I think it would be hard to, as 3D printers are mass market nowadays and anyone with basic engineering skills could fashion a gun. I like the idea, I think it would be cool to build/have one, but I think right now, it's just too dangerous.

August 1, 2018 17:29:19

I think it would be a fun plane, but there are some design flaws I guess they couldn't get around that would probably create some limitations for flying. The wings provide a brilliant "affected-by-any-wind-over-15-knots" feature that could provide a challenge when landing/taking off.

August 1, 2018 16:56:57

I am in full support of this, newborn-related paid leave it very healthy, not to mention a great thing for the company to advertise. I definitely see it boosting morale and a great way to improve HR.

August 1, 2018 16:51:20

I think that people encouraging parents to be way to soft. The spanking was alright, that shouldn't be used, but yelling? That would be the only source of discipline left after spanking. Not like screaming at a kid for an hour, but raising you voice if they're misbehaving, or being disrespectful. It works too. If you raise your voice at a kid they are going to get the picture way quicker and more enforced then if you sit down and have a conversation. A kid isn't going to always understand being explained exactly what's wrong and right, but they are going to understand what's wrong when being yelled at. I can tell you that when I was yelled at, I understood not to do it again, and found out later, when I was more mature, why I shouldn't have been doing that. It makes me glad that my parents yelled at me, or else I would've been super embarrassed nowadays at what they let me do. I can also tell you it certainly didn't increase misbehavior, or to "shut down".

August 1, 2018 16:40:16

I agree with you. I think that it is justified, because if it is with human lives, then why not with animals? Would it not have been a more heart wrenching story if a family was slaughtered by the bear? I am an environmentalist, so I am quite saddened by the death of a polar bear, but I value human lives more, as everyone should. The people making these tweets should really stop, as it always annoys me when people get irritated over stuff like this, stuff where there shouldn't be "sides", all there should be is the mourning period where we are sorry for what happened, sorry that a bear died, and sorry that the man was attacked and has injuries.

August 1, 2018 16:30:32

I think if they really want to vote, they should go through the process of becoming a citizen, it's not that hard if you want it.

August 1, 2018 16:20:29

And even if it did grow to be common, it would take a lot longer then two years I think.

July 31, 2018 18:36:32

I actually found FAQ regarding the Switchblade's safety feature's, and they are actually pretty good.

July 31, 2018 18:05:41

I know, the safety issue is a big one, I think if they had as many safety features as the ICON a5 does (despite it's controversies) and I think if it did it would catch the market better. I think if Samson Sky put a little more time into developing a better unit, it would make a better buy.

July 30, 2018 16:28:12

I love their system, I don't think it would work here. The country is too big and people love their guns too much. Maybe a smaller version of that would work.

July 30, 2018 16:24:16

sounds like somebody's stereotyping and assuming that all black people have lighter palms. oof.

July 30, 2018 16:22:25

I don't think they should be able to vote. There needs to be a line somewhere. If they can vote might as well call them legal, because they're practically a full US citizen at that point. If the Democrats want them to be able to vote, it's probably so they can get more votes, as they appeal more to immigrants, obviously. I don't have a side, that's just what it looks like to me.

July 24, 2018 17:46:08

Now, while that seems like a good idea, quite clever and all, have a bite of this: Kim is quite ready for nuclear war, and is preparing to take over America. Now, although he has all the weapons he needs, he still needs and ally, someone he can relate to. Enter Putin. Behind the medias back Putin and Kim met to discuss Operation Die-American-Scum. The first part of it was to build up American relations, give them a false sense of security, and draw military attention away from defending America and put it into the Middle Eastern wars. So far this plan is working brilliantly. The only thing Team Communism needs is an easy way into America. Tensions are already high between the Mexican and American Governments, will Team Communism take advantage of this and make friends with the Mexican Government, in order to have an easy entrance? Or will Team Communism resist military adaptation and move in via a climate they're trained for, i.e. Canada? If you see "PUTIN MEETS TRUDEAU AT CAFE FOR FRIENDLY BANTER" in the news you already know what's up. #staywokeamerica #knowyourenemies

July 24, 2018 17:18:51

It was this whole big thing Lot's of people got pretty upset about it, but I just think it was ridiculous, like that guy who first said something was wearing American and European style clothes, but whatever. The gestures I will confirm are the "Vape Nation" and "Papa Bless" poses are from the YouTuber H3H3, I am a subscriber lol.

July 24, 2018 16:10:06

I don't think the show should be taken down. It is labeled as dark comedy, and people who like dark comedy should be able to have a show they can enjoy. That's why genres exist, is because not everyone likes the same thing.

July 24, 2018 15:38:13

I definitely think it's a good thing, as it saves so many resources and can also lead to a healthier life. But I don't think it should be like fully banned, you could loose a lot of customers that way. You could have like a designated meat area, or instead of Meatless Mondays you could have Meat Mondays. This to me just doesn't seem like a brilliant PR decision.

July 24, 2018 15:34:47

I think plastic grocery bags should be banned.

July 24, 2018 15:25:49

Your'e saying that if you use another cultures clothing, objects, icons, etc. in a non-disrespectful way it's not a bad thing, so then that girl who wore that kimono-influenced dress shouldn't have been bullied because she wasn't doing anything wrong.

July 24, 2018 14:31:50

I think that it's a really good idea and I'm sure nothing bad would come from it. There are app and things that can restrict data and app time already out there, and it's cool that Apple is providing a system like that integrated into the software. I think if someone is trying to cut back on internet time they will be disciplined enough to stop themselves from going to other forms of electronic entertainment.

July 23, 2018 16:21:08

we ought to find out

July 23, 2018 16:01:31

you wouldn't call Japanese people yellow now, would you?

July 23, 2018 15:57:50

who trolled me that was a legit comment

July 23, 2018 15:55:30

I'm quite baffled at the statement: "I'm reminded of the enormous pressure placed on those of us who aren't men to construct an identity that falls within the limits of acceptable behavior." It's quite insensitive of you to assume men aren't put under "enormous pressure" to construct an "acceptable identity". Like men aren't struggling with the want to be rude, mean, and vulgar all the time, but rather lead carefree lives being themselves. Men have roles to fill, just like women. I think it's quite overblown to say you can't leave the dishes out for a night without feeling guilty, my family does that quite often and give zero fecks. The fact is, the pressure you feel is all in your head. Get over it.

July 23, 2018 15:29:20

I agree 100%

July 23, 2018 15:21:35

I have to say he seems like a good enough guy and I wouldn't mind having him in our Supreme Court. As a Yale grad and with having a Circuit Court background, he seems a fine judge, and I honestly hope he gets the job.

July 23, 2018 15:13:49

I thought Japanese people were white, first of all. Second of all, I think that all actors are different, and maybe that Johansson was just what the director wanted and/or needed for his movie, like maybe she just had that look or personality that he wanted for his character. Some actors or actresses are just better than others and therefor get cast because of their ability or talent. It would be terrible to have made a bad movie because instead of casting a really good actor or actress you go for authenticity and cast a really bad actor, but he/she is an authentic orphan or some shit. No one gets upset when actors fake an accent, which could be seen as cultural appropriation by certain people.

July 23, 2018 14:13:44

I think it's a bit unfair, as it was a role play scenario. I can see Papa John there now, completely innocent looking, thinking this is what everyone wants him to say as if in the scenario a co-worker or something is being racist. Poor guy. I honestly don't think a man such as Papa John could actually have racist intent, and the fact that it was a PR exercise enforces that theory. goodbye papa john, we will always love you.

July 23, 2018 14:03:50

July 23, 2018 13:53:06

This kind of disproves the whole "My culture is not your prom dress" thing doesn't it.

July 6, 2018 18:02:10

I think it is a very good thing that people are starting to up security and make advances in mental health assurance instead of doing anything rash like arming teachers. Sensible ways of dealing with the problems are the best ways. Really nothing could come from this except a safer environment for students and teachers.

July 6, 2018 17:21:13

I don't know exactly where I stand on this. I don't see it a necessarily bad thing. She isn't pretending to be a black woman to be offensive or racist, she clearly admires them to the point of wanting to be one. I don't think the NAACP should be all to upset, as this shows how far they've come on getting the white people to like them, and having a white person as one of the leaders of the NAACP shows their encouragement of diversity. If people can be transgender can't they be trans-racial too? Everyone always says imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Netflix definitely won't glorify her action, they have a show called "Dear White People", I'm surprised that show is still running. Like imagine if there was a show called "Dear Black People", that would get taken down so fast. World's a messed up place man. Personally I admire her ability to not care about what other people say. It's inspiring, to be honest. I think this should be left alone, let Nkechi be on her road to happiness. She should be able to live how she wants during what little time we have in our lives. People of all races and genders and nationalities emulate cultures all the time, we just have to let that go.

July 6, 2018 15:33:18

I think Native American's do kinda outweigh as a culture, not culture identity, and I think that these things should be decided by the teachers themselves. If there are differences in a classroom then it will lead to controversy and debate, brilliant learning tools. With all the PC culture today, we are losing these things. We shouldn't try and control every single school curriculum. Everyone would be the same, it would be like brainwashing.

July 3, 2018 15:53:38

Being Asatru I don't really have a side on this, I think to each their own really. I have never really been challenged, intimidated, or bothered by the Christian religion. Some of it's ideals I disagree with, but as long as it's not enforcing them in any radical way I do not really care. I must say though, I am not generalizing or stereotyping, but there has been one or two Christian people who have been rude to me, and even yell at me, when I didn't agree with them. I know this is not everyone, I have met some lovely Christians whom I respect and admire. As for atheist, I have not met one that's extremely outgoing about their beliefs, I think they are recognized as the more "chill" religion of the two. I think it is stupid though, to be fighting in this mixing pot of america, as we are granted religious freedom. Again, to each their own, not to be bothered.

July 3, 2018 14:48:20

Don't you think it's a little bit ridiculous that leftist always complain about lack of diversity, but then when some people, in this case "baby daddies", are represented. You'd think that people would appreciate every single type of father represented on fathers day. Also baby daddies aren't always a bad thing. Fathers away in the military are often called baby daddies, when their spouse has a child while their on tour. Women can refer to their spouse lovingly as a baby daddy. I personally don't like the phrase, it's just strange, but it's not a bad thing all the time. The photograph on the card seems to be old, or at least have a filter, so it could be a white man in the picture, it's quite hard to tell if you actually look at it. American Greetings's context for the card was a "playful husband card", which is perfectly acceptable. If their context was "racially insensitive" I would be on board with the card removal, but that wasn't their intention, so people should calm down. I will never understand the attraction of the "we must remove everything we think is a little racist" mindset. People who want to actually help should focus on the slavery and extreme racism that's going on right now in the world instead of bitching about a playful card. You see that the hand holding the card is white? This white privileged woman is not thinking about the fact that baby daddies are a reality. They could be white or black, but they're out there. She's just too privileged, too rich and high up on the social ladder, to understand such things. Makes me sick.

July 3, 2018 14:18:27

That sucks man. A have some social anxiety too, makes it hard for me to date, as I mentioned in the online dating debate. I haven't really found a way to help with it yet, but I have a feeling eventually I will get over it. It's a hard thing to deal with. Maybe try going to parties and such and face it, smaller ones at first and such and leave before you get anxious. I really hope you can get better!

July 2, 2018 19:14:30

I did not know those things. Although, there are many things we are not taught in schools that we should be learning about that kinda outweigh LGBT, one example being Native American 1900's history.

July 2, 2018 15:37:35

Come on, man. Homeschooling is not bad, but you don't have to lie this much to prove that. These two perfect children you definitely had are inconceivable. Reading Shakespeare at five? Maybe they stared at the pages for a bit, or read some of the words, but there's no way they actually read in depth or understood anything about the literature and story. They couldn't have been reading dozens of books per year whilst also getting straight A's in college and playing football captain. That's retarded. Also doing all those feats in college must have led them to have zero social lives, as they must have been way too busy studying and reading. Your daughter running a home business, while also raising three kids and schooling them, is a total trip (don't forget she's also reading dozens of books per year, right?). Your son being married at 25? My thoughts and prayers go out to him as he slowly regrets wasting the younger years of his life being a married banker and landlord. At least make up children that have more cheerful lives. Don't make up evidence to help prove your point, something like that should be in your Christian Values, instead of shit like the desire for anti-same sex marriage laws.

July 2, 2018 15:11:26

July 2, 2018 14:20:01

isn't LGBTQIA history being made right now? We are living it, aren't we? Movements made by LGBTQIA have just started moving recently, it's not much of history. Sure, the school should have a unit, maybe several, about all those people, but should it be law? I don't want to seem mean here, I just think this is a bit much, a bit of a pander it seems.

July 2, 2018 14:08:04

I think unhealthy options should not be promoted. This would be a good government scheme though, to control population, just encourage everyone to make unhealthy choices so they die out quicker.

July 2, 2018 14:05:39

I agree with the point of it being beneficial for LGBT people and etc., but the social anxiety part? Having social anxiety myself I have a terrible time trying to find anybody to date, and I did try some online dating sites in the past, but it didn't change anything. I was too nervous to actually talk to anyone, and eventually gave up. It's true everyone is different, and maybe it works for some people with the same problem. But it is still as complex as life, so a no go for me.

June 15, 2018 20:23:50

As long as the violations don't interrupt, restrict, and/or impede the actual sport, then there's no problem. This is for a soccer tournament, and what laws or rules they have should not stop the actual soccer from being played. If the country's laws do prevent the game from being played, then of course don't have it in that country. But otherwise, it's not that big a deal.

June 15, 2018 17:55:19

I think that the World Cup should mainly be focused on the sport, not the country that's hosting it. I know that fans like myself don't care about the country, we care about the stadium, players, and rivalries. This mainly political problems don't matter during the game, or the tournament itself, and should not lead to a "protest" of the Cup. I think the current location should be fine, as the stadiums holding games look beautiful and have great pitches, and that's all that matters.

June 14, 2018 20:06:08

It's essentially a meme. Meme's do the exact same thing, they might not be the same kind of people unifying, but it's a cultural phenomenon that's hard to explain. It seems to be some sort or social or cultural event that just out of luck, or something else, becomes extremely popular among a mass of people that have a common understanding. I have honestly no idea how to explain it, but it's an amazing thing.

I know, things are really getting seemingly strict. I do believe that PC things are getting out of hand, I don't want to act like "free speech is under attack!" and be really conservative about it, but I do think that stuff like this is just plain ridiculous.

Thank you! That does make sense, I didn't understand to begin with because the protest and walkouts were at school, not at the NRA Headquarters or other supporting buildings. Thanks for the comment!

I agree completely. Although I'm assuming the argument against it could be that when you pay for and publicly support Chick-Fil-A, the money goes to the business, and therefor supports Cathy. Seems pretty petty though to me.

So many of the kids in my class are on Adderall, its ridiculous. I think it's just all the soda they have on a daily basis, makes them hyper af. Or it's just doctors trying to make easy money.

June 13, 2018 15:42:00

Yes, it won't stop it, but it will prevent it from being easier. No one's associating predators with the LGBT community, people are just trying to make sure that predators can't dress up or identify as someone they aren't so they can perv out.

I think though if we're talking about the influence a television show has on a younger viewer, a movie can definitely do the same. Even more in some cases. I know I was pretty affected by romantic comedies when I was younger, and started wanting what the people on the screen had. The difference between it being a movie or a reality TV show isn't important, because human emotion is still being represented, which I believe is what "influences" the viewer if at all. People want those emotions, whether it be set up via script, or "reality-fied". It's played by humans, so it's possible, is the viewers can be having.

Samantha Bee is a comedian, to go with what Griffin said comedians aren't supposed to really be PC, or appropriate, or such nonsense. There job is to make people laugh. What usually makes things funny is how offensive, or shocking it is. That's what comedy is like nowadays. I'm sorry but I think "inexcusable slurs" when used in the right way can be extremely funny. Most comedians are offensive, like Frenchy, FilthyFrank, etc. I'm not saying what Samantha said was funny, because I didn't think it was to be frank. I just think that people shouldn't be surprised she said something like that, or think word is that big of a deal. Honestly, there are bigger problems at hand, things we, and the media, should be focusing on way more then somebody calling someone a name.

I think that this is a very beneficial source of protein, and food in general. I think the mass appeal will be hard to achieve, due to the fact people may think it sounds gross, or unfulfilling, but a good advertising firm can take care of that. Algae, it's what's for dinner.

I agree 100% I think that the majority of shootings are caused by in school problems, such as bullying, social stress, work stress, and the likes. I'm not saying that a person could not have a natural born mental illness, but I think that an increase in a healthy school environment should be the first thing to be done to counter such horrid things from happening. I think something like this would not only benefit the disturbed, but also every student. Normal students also suffer a lot from bad school environments, so I think that working towards that should be a priority that can't go wrong. I must say I'm surprised that a non-gun related solution came out of Texas. One question I have to ask regarding the subject though, is that you always see people like protesting school shootings, holding up signs saying things like 'I shouldn't be afraid to go to school' and such. Who exactly are those directed to? Shooters? Somebody else I don't know? I just think it's weird to protest something that doesn't always have a consistent cause. I'm pretty ignorant, so would love to have any information regarding this.

I agree that not all feminist are bad people, that's true. But the main argument of the video was that feminism wasn't necessary because it's main theoretical ideals have already been achieved. The rest is just personal issues.

June 12, 2018 19:43:06

I'd say it is necessary, but this video did have some good points about it being irrelevant. There are better options out there if you want to label yourself, regarding equality, such as egalitarian, egalitarian, etc.. Radicalism seems to have been interwoven with lots of feminist ideals and theories, as people take it more and more seriously. I should not be surprised if it should start to follow Antifas example soon. There are also a lot of opposing ideas that have been intertwined with feminism, as there are different points feminist make that can combat each other. There are also so many hypocritical situations regarding feminism, specifically that of women being punished by feminist for not identifying as a feminist. In my opinion it has become quite a mess that I myself would not want to get involved with.

You really can't go wrong with that, you're absolutely right.

To expand on that I found an article that explains in a better way then I could about how they were actually asked multiple times to leave by the cops, and were arrested after refusing to move. On top of that, one of the cops was black, so to make this out as a "whites vs. blacks" ordeal would be ridiculous. The article also reinforces the points I made about Starbucks's policies on loitering and the likes, and points made by the comments above mine talking about the behaviors of the two men. Although the article kind of talks down about the training, which I thought was beneficial no matter the cause, it is a good example of a different point of view Article:

June 12, 2018 18:55:07

I think the training is good, but I think we need to look at the fact that they didn't order anything before sitting down. I don't know Starbucks's policies on the matter, but that is definitely something that could have played in to whatever was going through the employees minds when they decided to call the cops. The unreleased information on what the employees were thinking really prevent us from having a perfect wrong vs. right debate in this case.

Could this be compared to a romantic comedy? Because in a romantic comedy everything turns out alright, those who were supposed to get together do, and along the way there's lots of laughs. I know one is supposed to be reality TV but if one person is ignorant enough to be confused to believe that their (the bachelor and bachelorette's) relationship is perfect and on another level, they (viewer) should get the same thing from Notting Hill or Definitely Maybe. If anything they should be more influenced from a romcom movie as the characters are more relatable then the perfect people the Bachelor produces.

June 12, 2018 18:33:39

This was supposed to be in response to the Bachelor debate, sorry everyone!
